Low volume or a small batch PCB Assembly is the process of mounting components to the small batch of boards. The number of boards can be in the range of 25 to 5000. Due to small batches, this is called a low volume PCB assembly. There are times when you need PCBs for your application but you don’t need a large batch. Like the regular PCB Assembly, even the low volume PCB assembly process also involves 3 steps – PCB fabrication, component mounting, and assembly.

A low volume PCB assembly is usually defined as small amounts of less than 5000 PCBs. It is ideal for building new products, repairs/replacements in the final product.
